TLS problems with Netscape Navigator 6

Secure Links

All links to secure pages within our site are indicated with this image: . The new versions of Netscape Navigator (6+) implement TLS (Transport Layer Security), a successor to SSL (Secure Socket Layer). Some servers cannot handle this implementation. If you experience this error, then clicking on the secure link will do nothing, and opening the link in a new window will display a blank page.

To correct this, follow one of the two procedures below:

If you are using version 6.0 or 6.01 of Netscape Navigator, go to Tasks | Privacy and Security | Security Manager; click on the Advanced tab, and then the Options button. Remove the check in the TLS box. Secure pages will then display properly.

If you are using version 6.1 of Netscape Navigator, go to Edit | Preferences. Select the Privacy and Security category and the SSL option from the Left side of the Preferences page. Remove the check in the TLS box on the right side of the page. Secure pages will then display properly.
